3M™ Tegaderm™ I.V. Advanced Securement Dressings are comprehensively designed to help you provide exceptional patient care through advanced catheter securement, site visibility and breathability. Providing up to 7 days of wear time and excellent moisture management, these central line and PICC dressings offer a cost-effective catheter securement solution.
3M™ Tegaderm™ I.V. Advanced Securement Dressing
The 3M™ I.V. Advanced Securement Dressing has a hypoallergenic and highly breathable dual-patterned adhesive system that continues to build strength within the first 24 hours of application to help optimise catheter securement and reduce the risk of accidental dislodgement.
With up to 7 days of wear time for CVCs (1) and on PIV catheters (2), these IV dressings promote consistent, accurate and easy application and removal. Continuous insertion site observation can help your facility manage IV site care costs by potentially reducing the number of dressing changes and catheter restarts.
1. Deep notch. Designed to conform around hubs and lumens and reduce the risk of catheter manipulation and dislodgement.
2. Picture-frame delivery. Allows for precise dressing placement and minimises the potential to stick to gloves or to itself for easy, one-handed application.
3. Highly breathable transparent film. Provides continuous insertion site visibility and a waterproof, sterile barrier to external contaminants.*
4. Stabilisation border. Flexible, conformable and designed to reduce edge lift.
5. Dual pattern-coated adhesive technology. Promotes enhanced breathability and provides a balance of securement and removal to preserve patients’ skin integrity.
6. Securement tape strips. Promote consistent application, enhance securement and include a film coating that resists soiling to help reduce the number of dressing changes.
*In vitro testing shows that the Tegaderm™ I.V. Advanced Securement dressing’s (film) provides a viral barrier from viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger while the dressing remains intact without leakage.
Use the 3M™ Tegaderm™ I.V. Securement Dressings for short peripheral IV and midline venous catheters, CVCs, dialysis catheters, arterial catheters, epidural catheters and other percutaneous devices. A CHG version, 3M™ Tegaderm™ CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate I.V. Securement Dressing, is also available.
