The 3M™ Roloc™ Fibre Disc 988R is a high performance disc designed for optimum results on mild and carbon steel. Full ceramic mineral content gives a quick cut with long product life. 983C Roloc™ Discs are ideal for heavier duty Roloc™ applications.

3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain is our proprietary ceramic mineral chemically engineered with a unique “stay sharp” crystalline structure, which continually reveals fresh cutting edges on the surface of the workpiece ensuring an exceptionally fast and sustained cut. Formed through a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain, 3M ceramic abrasives offer a longer service life than non-ceramic abrasives, and can stand up to high pressure production environments even on the toughest materials. This innovative abrasive grain is ideal for use with stainless steel and whitewood sanding. Our ceramic products enable operators to do more work in less time, for significant gains in both ergonomics and productivity.We engineered our Roloc™ Disc for easy on and off attachment to the sander. A quick quarter turn secures the disc in place while an additional quarter turn detaches it. The disc pad for these discs easily mounts to tools with a 1/4 - 20 EXT thread shaft or may be used on collet chuck tools.The abrasive surface of the disc is closed-coat, meaning the abrasive mineral covers 100 percent of the sanding surface for maximum cutting efficiency.
